Tennis, anyone?

My favorite quote about business is ::

"Business is like tennis, the one with the best service wins"

At September's Bride, we promise you the best customer service that you will find anywhere.  You may find bridal boutiques with a larger selection, more designers, or more frequent sales.

But our committment is to give you the best product at the best value and make you feel like the special, pampered bride that you should be.

Come and visit our store, you will enjoy your experience at September's Bride; we guarantee it!

Gown of the Week :: Essense of Australia D999

We (and our brides) are just loving Essense of Australia wedding gowns!

This gown, Style D999, features a very soft sweetheart neckline with beautiful beading right under the bustline.  The fitted bodice then flares at the hips into an A-line skirt just covered with layers of lacy ruffles.  There is a small sweep train in the back.  The gown is available in either a lace-up, as shown; or a zip-up back.  This would look beautiful with a statment necklace and a lace-edged veil.

Yes, we do have this gown at September's Bride for you to see and to try-on.

Scenes from MEG Jewelry Trunk Show

On March 12 & 13, we had our semi-annual Trunk Show with Meg Lammers of MEG Jewelry.  We were honored to have Michael Overbeek of Overbeek Photography spend a few hours at the store capturing all of the fabulousness.

Enjoy!

SB Bride :: Celeste

This is beautiful Celeste, who married Jerry last summer.  Celeste wore a beautiful halter-strap, beaded satin gown from Casablanca.  Rachel was Celeste's gown consultant at September's Bride and I know they enjoyed a fun relationship and Celeste was truly a joy to serve.

Tonight :: GR Unveiled at St. Cecelia's Music Society

A few weeks ago, I found a fabulous white feather wreath.  I purchased it as a gift for my favorite assistant and September's Bride manager, Rachel.   The wreath also became our inspiration for the mini-boutique that we have designed for our space at tonight's wedding show, GRUnveiled!

You've been hearing about it for a while now and tonight is the night that nearly 40 specialty wedding vendors will be gathering at St. Cecelia's Music Society in Grand Rapids.  Our goal is to give modern brides an alternative to the big, overwhelming, cookie-cutter bridal shows.  We designed the September's Bride booth to give you just a small feel for our store and to highlight some of our very favorite pieces.

Our best surprise?   Meg Lammers from MEG Jewelry will be at our space, too!  If you cannot make it to September's Bride this weekend for her Trunk Show, this will be a great opportunity to meet Meg and see some of her jewelry.

We hope to see you tonight!

Big-City Style in Downtown Holland

Our own Hannah, modeling a Justin Alexander gown with a hat and accessories by MEG Jewelry

September's Bride is not a small-town bridal store.  We are an upscale bridal boutique that is located in a small town.  Our jewelry and veil designers are often featured at the "big name store with a TV show" in NYC.  Our couture lines and indie designers feature silk gowns that are designed and manufactured in the same design houses as Priscilla of Boston and other well-known names.

Being located in our beautiful downtown in West Michigan, we are able to offer these beautiful gowns and accessories to our brides at just fractions of what you would pay for the same items in New York or Chicago.  Add the Midwestern friendliness and customer service and I can promise you a special and enjoyable experience while shopping for the gown of your dreams.

This weekend is our MEG Jewelry Trunk Show!  We have just a few appointment times left with Meg and we would be honored to have you come and see our store.

Tuxedo FAQs from SB

(Photos courtesty of Bunny Tuxedos, SB Bride, and Ben Harrison Photography)

Today, I thought I would answer some of the most Frequently Asked Questions about tuxedos and our tuxedo rental service.

FAQ :: When should we order and reserve our tuxes?

SB :: Most wedding parties choose their tuxedos 2-3 months before the wedding. We cannot "reserve" tuxes from our warehouses until all the guys have been measured and made their deposits.

FAQ :: How much do tuxes cost?

SB :: Like anything, the cost of the tuxes you rent depends on the choices you make. Tux Rentals from September's Bride start at $79, our most expensive tux choice is $129. Special options and shoe rental can increase the cost.

FAQ :: Do you have any specials or sale prices?

SB :: The groom's tux is free with the rental of five additional tuxedos. If you need fewer than that, we will still give the groom a 50% discount with any size of wedding party. Follow our blog and join our e-mail list to learn about other occasional specials.
